Encouraging women to use their minds instead of their bodies, Yo-Yo has set herself apart from other female emcees in the rap game. Appearing on Ice Cube's "It's a Man's World," she made her presence known with her unpredictable lyrical direction. Still making her presence known in later years, Yo-Yo flipped the script with 2008's "Can't Play With My Yo-Yo," which was touted one of the "100 Greatest Hip Hop Songs of All Time" on a VH1 countdown.

I gotta go with Big Boi's comment. I think YoYo should be alittle bit higher, but my real argument is how is she 8 spots behind Lady of Rage? YoYo was Rage before Rage, and her impact on hip-hop was atleast equal if not more so.

Top 5 hands down, Some of these females should b on a whole separate list as all-time greatest female Hip-Hop artist. And Yo Yo is one of them along with McLyte, Queen Latifa, DaBrat,Roxanne Shante, & Moni Love to name a few.
