Denzel Washington Makes Out Check To Help Families Of Wounded Soldiers

On his trip to San Antonio, Texas, Denzel Washington visited the troops at Brook Army Medical Center. This is where wounded soldiers from Germany are sent, specializing in burn victims.
The families that are staying by their soldiers' side are staying in what is called a 'Fisher House' for little or no charge but they are almost always full. This is where Denzel decided to pull out his checkbook to help them out!

This happened in 2004. The troops were evacuated from Iraq, there is no war in Germany. Denzel didn't pull out a checkbook but he donated money later.
