In September 2008, Webbie led the police on a high-speed chase. Along the way he hit another car, injuring the passenger. He then dumped the car and ran on foot, but was later caught. He was charged with felony eluding, driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, and felony aggravated assault with a motor vehicle.
