The infectious 2015 hit "Uptown Funk" has spent 14 weeks atop the Hot 100 chart, has totaled over 650 million YouTube views over multiple uploads which use the song's master, and has sold over 5.5 million units stateside, this according to Billboard.

Those type of numbers help bring in big revenue for the song's credited writers, and surprisingly, one of the people who gets credit is Trinidad James. That's right, James receives credit on the Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars megasmash because the song uses a sampling interpolation from James' "All Gold Everything," which he co-wrote.

Billboard shared how the money was disbursed in the songwriter/publisher split among the 10 publishing owners listed for "Uptown Funk." Thus far, $840,000 has been reported in publishing revenue and James has earned nearly $50,000 from his share.
