Oscar De La Hoya shared his thoughts on Twitter early Sunday morning following Floyd Mayweather's win against Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas.

The retired boxer who fought and lost to Mayweather in 2007, was very critical of the fight and the hype surrounding it. Mayweather won the judges over with his defensive stance and counter punches, as Pacquiao proved he wanted to win with his attempts to land hits to the boxer. While some fans believe the fight was less energetic than expected, De La Hoya hopped on Twitter to give his thoughts on the fighters and why he wasn't impressed.

"Call me old school but I like the fans getting their money's worth by watching an action packed fight," he tweeted. He also brushed off Mayweather's running style-a move that helped him during the match. "Im just not into the boxing, running style. I like jumping out of my seat because a fight was existing and the fans got their money's worth."

Many MMA fighters stood by De La Hoya, echoing his statements. Conor McGregor tweeted, "That felt more like a business transaction than a fight. Respect to Floyd though. Boxing is not the style of fighting to stop him." Jake Ellenberger added, "The boys in the 80s fought. They laid it on the line."
