On Thursday, the coveted list of TIME magazine's most influential people was unveiled to the masses, and both Kanye West and Kim Kardashian made the cut.

According to TIME and Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Motors, West was included because "The dude doesn't believe in false modesty, and he shouldn't," Musk then added, "Kanye's belief in himself and his incredible tenacity—he performed his first single with his jaw wired shut—got him to where he is today. And he fought for his place in the cultural pantheon with a purpose."

Completing the relentless work ethic of the Kimye dynamic, Kim also accomplished the socially hailed feat of making the list. Both TIME and Martha Steward regard Kim as a "media phenomenon." The acclaimed etiquette critic also believes that Kim "exudes energy, sexuality, drama, determination, impetuousness and happiness," and Martha also believes that the Kardashian-Jenner clan with Kris at the helm, "have also expanded the very definition of family."
