It was only a matter of time before the contributions of Harriet Tubman hit the big or small screen.

Following suit of the critically acclaimed "12 Years a Slave" and "Book of Negroes," a new TV drama series is set to make its way onto television screens, and according to reports, Kanye West has been tapped to executive produce the music for the upcoming show.

The show, which is aptly titled 'Underground' centers around a group of slaves who attempt to escape their Georgia plantation. As the story-line and show progresses, the group is later joined by an abolitionist couple, who also run a station on the Underground Railroad, and will assist them in their efforts to spring free.

The 'New Slaves' rapper is said to be scoring episodes for the series, much like super-producer Timbaland and his involvement to the hit series, Empire.

Although additional details about Ye's involvement are scarce, the series will supposedly star actress Jurnee Smollet-Bell ('The Great Debaters' and 'Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor'), "Leverage" actor Aldis Hodge, and Christopher Meloni.
