Shaquille O'Neal caught a wave of backlash almost exactly a year ago after he mocked a disabled man Jahmel Binion, who suffers from a rare condition called ectodermal dysplasias that causes physical deformities. The famed basketball player posted a photo on Instagram, mocking Binion, leading to a defamation lawsuit that was recently closed.
According to TMZ, Binion filed the lawsuit in Michigan where Shaq has no business dealings or residence, leading the judge to throw out the case. While the case won't be going forward, the judge made it clear that he was upset with the famed athlete's behavior, which he called "highly offensive."
Binion also sued Waka Flocka, who posted a similar picture, and the rapper has yet to respond to the suit, which could lead to a successful case for Jahmel.
