With the 20th anniversary of Tupac Shakur's death on the horizon, his estate is currently in talks to release various projects including music, poems, possible films and more.

According to Billboard, Afeni Shakur has been working closely with Tom Whalley and Jeff Jampol since 2013 to come up with new ways to release some of the rapper's unreleased material. Whalley, who has worked to preserve the legacies of deceased artists like Otis Redding, Rick James, and The Doors, spoke about his plans to introduce the late artist to a new generation.

"Some of [the material] is in bits and pieces, some of it is complete; some of it is good, some of it needs work," he said about the rapper's archive. "But I think the work that is left can be completed, and is worth his fans hearing."

In addition to new music, the Grammy Museum is currently hosting an exhibit showcasing the rapper's lyrics, and a book about the rapper is close to being finalized.

Jampol feels that Pac's die-hard fans will be elated to hear the late rapper's unheard material in any form, and states that, "[There's] almost an embarrassment of riches of unreleased music, released music, remixes, original demos, writings, scripts, plans, video treatments, and poems."
