Mavado claims he was treated unfairly at a famous NYC restaurant due to the color of his skin.

According to TMZ, the reggae artist claims he arrived at Philippe Chow on Thursday night to have dinner with his family and friends when he was placed in the back of the restaurant and given bad service. He also says the manager instructed him not to use his phone the entire time he was at the restaurant.

In addition to the bad service, the artist said when he was given his check, the waiter allegedly told him he was never to come back to the restaurant. When he left the Midtown eatery, he got a phone call from the manager apologizing for the service, and also confessed they didn't know he was famous.

The restaurant has yet to release an official statement on the incident, but the artist took to his Instagram page to comment.

"Just went to Philippe Chow restaurant and this manager -- or whoever he wants to be -- was very disrespectful after I just spend a couple hundreds inside for me, my friends, and family," he said. "How could you have someone running a business and being prejudice, and trying to tell customers not to come back just because he didn't know who I am, but now he knows."
