Before calling police after allegedly shooting and killing his neighbor, John Marshall, 52, of Fort Meyers, Florida, brought the body of Ted Hubbell into his lawyer's office. Marshall reportedly went to his attorney first, because he "didn't know who else to trust."

The man went into the law office bleeding with broken teeth and thumbs, and claimed that he acted in self-defense against Hubbell during a dispute about a portable outhouse Marshall installed near his neighbor's property. Other neighbors familiar with the men told the Fort Meyers News-Press that they knew Hubbell as a non-aggressive Buddhist pacifist, while they say Marshall was "very threatening and aggressive."

The 52-year-old reportedly left the law office to go to the hospital and treat his injuries, but there is no word on if he'll be arrested.
