Alaska became the third state to legalize marijuana, following behind Colorado and Washington state. The laws that apply to the other states are similar in Alaska, as people still cannot have more than an ounce of marijuana in their possession. It's also illegal to harvest more than four ounces in your home.

It seems that the recent state legalizations have U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder optimistic about legalizing marijuana, as he told CNN, "We don't want to put into the federal system, low level people who are simply there for possessory offenses."

Which states do you think will be next?
