More details have emerged in the case of former rap mogul Suge Knight and the hit and run incident that left one man dead this week.

According to TMZ, Knight originally claimed he was fleeing for his life after two men jumped him, but now former CEO of Death Row claims he headed to the commercial shoot for the Straight Outta Compton film to resolve his beef with Dr. Dre. Sources close to Knight claim he was removed from a set where Dre was present and was told to meet with him at the location where the hit and run took place.

Sources close to Dre allegedly laughed at the claim and denied that he was involved in either incident. They also claim Knight was asked to leave the first set due to his previous shooting over the summer. Lt. John Corina of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says Knight's story of accidentally running over the man is false. Corina believes the 49-year-old's actions were intentional.

"It looks like he drove backward and struck the victims and then went forward and struck them again as he left," Corina said. "It looked like it was an intentional act and would be treated as a homicide."
