It seems as though Iggy Azalea will have to come to terms with the fact that people will most likely criticize her rapping style and accent for as long as she remains in the spotlight.

Recently, Eve and Jill Scott made an appearance on "Sway in the Morning" to promote their new Lifetime film, "With This Ring," where they also dished their opinions on Iggy Azalea.  While they have no problem with the success that she's gained since her emergence into the mainstream, they do have an issue with her rapping sound, which they officially dubbed as a "Blaccent."  Both Eve and Jill would like to hear Iggy rap in her native Australian accent to show more of her roots and where she comes from, rather than mimic what has already been done by a variety of American female MCs.

It appears as though Iggy has caught wind of Jill and Eve's comments, and took to Twitter to indirectly respond to their criticism of her "Blaccent." Iggy decided not to name their names, but spoke about how people stereotype her and want her to be confined to a musical box when they say that she should rap a certain way.

"I feel like they're really saying 'act more like how I sterotype you to be, so I can feel comfortable,'" Iggy tweeted.

She then encouraged her fans to stay as free and open as possible in their own lives and not live according to anyone's perceptions of them.  Jill Scott later posted an indirect response to Iggy's message, brushing off her speech on uniqueness, and simply explaining that she is allowed to like what she likes, and dislike what she isn't fond of.  Eve also posted an encouraging message to her fans which was geared toward this topic, however, it isn't clear if it was in response to the Iggy situation.
