Chris Brown is currently on the victim-side of an investigation after his jail ID was almost sold online for a hefty fee of $10,000.

According to TMZ, the ID was taken when Chris arrived in the San Bernardino County Jail, during the time when he was locked up for leaving his rehab facility back in April, 2014.  Despite only spending about a day at the jail, Chris still had to get an ID processed while behind those bars.  However, after leaving the jail, his ID was left behind with authorities whom worked for the institution, and it somehow got released to a person or people outside of the jailhouse walls.

Recently, an unidentified man attempted to sell Brown's ID online for $10k, but the transaction was flagged by authorities before it could be completed.  The man responsible has since been questioned by police, and he is adamant that he got his hands on Chris' ID through a friend who got it from another friend.  Police are continuing to investigate how Chris' jail ID managed to reach the general public.
