The start of the new year means a chance to leave your past troubles behind for many people, and among them are Janay and Ray Rice.
The couple's 2014 was plagued by extremely disturbing footage of Ray knocking his wife unconscious while inside of an elevator during a verbal dispute. Despite being bombarded with backlash from fans, fellow NFL players, and the league as a whole, Ray and Janay have proven that their union is strong enough to withstand the "or worse" part of their vows. She has continuously expressed her support for Ray, and has refused to leave his side despite many people advising her otherwise.
For her birthday, Janay was showered with gifts, food, and love from Ray, as a token of his appreciation for her support during the dark times that they went through. They recruited the tasty assistance of "Hell's Kitchen" competitor and skilled chef, JR Robinson, who hooked them up with a truly top-quality dinner and desserts. Janay was more than thrilled with Ray's display of affection for her on her birthday, and praised him as being the "best husband in the world" on Twitter.
