Lupe Fiasco surprised some followers after saying "f**k Martin Luther King" on Twitter. After getting backlash about the tweets, fans pointed out that the words are lyrics from Big K.R.I.T.'s "Lost Generation," which features Lupe.
While some fans were shocked over Lupe's tweets, the rapper said that the song was in front of their faces for months, but people want to get upset when his lyrics are turned into tweets.
"You can put it right in their face for MONTHS and they won't pay attention until you put it in a tweet with a hashtag. And they just go on and go on completely unaware what is happening around them until they feelings are hurt and it's the cool thing to do. How much truer is the line 'They ain't listening to us' NOW?"
