J. Cole has done it again, landing at the top of the charts for the third time with his album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive. As many believe Cole has yet to crossover into mainstream and still has trouble crafting and choosing singles, the numbers were surprising; however, the album sold over 360,000 copies its first week, beating out Taylor Swift's 1989, one of the most heavily promoted records this year.

That number places Cole at the top of Hip-Hop, as he also racked up the biggest first week sales of any rap album this year, besting big names like Young Jeezy, T.I., Iggy Azalea & Wiz Khalifa. Cole took to Twitter to address his great numbers, saying it's a testament that people want quality music and less "trash."
