After a prolonged silence, Bill Cosby has finally spoken out about the growing rape allegations made against him.

Previous attempts were made to try and get the man who played the beloved character of Dr. Cliff Huxtable to speak on the troubling allegations, but to no avail.  However, Bill has finally stepped up and addressed the controversy at hand, but his statements on the matter were very brief and still left many questions unanswered.  Instead of tackle the allegations and speculations by the public head-on, Cosby decided to address the media and how he expects "Black media" to handle his current drama.  He touched on the matter during a phone interview with freelance reporter for the New York Post, Stacy Brown.

"Let me say this," Cosby said. "I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that, you have to go in with a neutral mind."

He also spoke on how his wife Camille has been handling these horrific allegations set against her husband.

"Love and the strength of womanhood," Bill said. "Let me say it again, love and the strength of womanhood. And, you could reverse it, the strength of womanhood and love."

He concluded by informing Brown that his PR team doesn't want him talking to the media about the subject; however, Brown noted that Bill seemed as though he was happy, not worried about the situation too much, and eager to speak on it if he would be allowed to do so by those guiding his public image at this time.  His wife Camille, on the other hand, penned an open statement addressing the allegations against her husband more thoroughly.  Camille blasted the media for portraying her husband as if he is a villain who has already been convicted of a crime, and cited the alleged rape that occurred at the University of Virginia, which was later found to be untrue.  She believes that Bill is being wrongfully portrayed by the media, and that he is in fact the man that America has grown to love watching on TV for all of these years.
