After 14 long years, D'Angelo has finally released his third album, Black Messiah.

Instead of utilizing loads of promotional tools to make his return to the spotlight that much more noticeable, D'Angelo took the Beyonce route and used virtually no promotion at all aside from cryptic ads appearing on December 10th, and then the release of his single "Sugah Daddy" just one day before the full Black Messiah album.  Questlove has been actively supporting D'Angelo's new work, as he has both tweeted and posted on Instagram updates about the long-awaited album, which included a picture from a private listening party shortly before its release.

The 12 new songs that D'Angelo included on his secret project have already managed to send fans into a complete frenzy on Twitter.  He's received great praise thus far for putting together a truly memorable piece of work and as a result, both "D'Angelo" and "#BlackMessiah" have become some of the Top 10 trending topics in the United States.
