Gorgeous model turned wardrobe stylist Dede Damati recently aired out a young man on Instagram and Twitter for having skipped out on a hefty $700 bill while out on a date with one of her girlfriends. Now, while $700 is a lot of money to spend on one person especially if it's only the first date, according to Dede, there were a total of 7 people including herself who were eating dinner at that time.
The incident occurred at the prestigious Miami restaurant PRIME. Dede claims that a man by the Instagram tag name of @onmaownthing, and two of his friends skipped out on the $700 bill without contributing to the payment at all. One of the other men who was apparently present at the feast, @realbenjo on Instagram, took to the social media site to defend their image amid the negativity that's been spreading about them.
@Realbenjo referred to Dede and her friends as "golddigging hoes," who tried to "dig ma pockets." It's unclear, but he also may have implied that he and his friends paid for their portion of the bill and then took off without paying the rest. Dede has since addressed the matter on Twitter, and explained why she chose to air the men out for fake flexing. She claims that the initial man she put on blast is now threatening to leak her friend's nudes as a form of retaliation. One of Dede's friends who was also there, a woman named L'Oreal, stepped up to cosign her version of the story and even revealed that the men in question only put $50 on the table for the dinner.
The phrase "Only 700" became highly popular on Twitter after Dede initially put the man on blast, and attracted the attention of many users.
