In light of all of the racial tension that has been building up as a result of a grand jury's decision not to indict Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, protesters have rallied together to stop the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC.

The movement to stand up for the racial and social injustices that continue to plague this nation has sparked the highly popular #StopTheParade trend on Twitter. Loads of people have been tweeting their support for the movement, while others have spoken out against the protest.  Many feel as though fighting for the lives of others is much more important than supporting consumerism.

Based off of the pictures uploaded by numerous protesters, it looks like the movement has picked up some steam and is gaining more supporters as the day progresses.
