Nicki Minaj was the source of pure entertainment as she hosted the MTV European Music Awards in Scotland and shared a new track titled "Bed of Lies." The rapper kept the laughs coming as a host and took home the EMA for "Best Hip-Hop" artist at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.
Later in the show, Nicki took over the stage with a 6-minute performance of "Super Bass," "Anaconda," and the somber and honest "Bed of Lies" featuring Skylar Grey. On the track, Nicki speaks of a love that flips her world upside down with sadness, heartbreak and drugs. While Nicki only dropped one verse from the track, her fans were instantly captivated by the song's lyrics.
"You could never make eye contact / Everything you got was based off of my contacts / You a fraud, but I'ma remain icon stat/" she says.
Recently, her rumored relationship with Safaree Samuels was questioned when he covered up his portrait tats of the rapper. Her verse continues to depict a broken relationship that involved drug use.
"You was caught up in the rush and you was caught up in the thrill of it/ You was with me before I hit a quarter mil in it/ Put you in the crib and you ain't never pay a bill in it/ I was killin' it, now you got me poppin' pills in it," she raps.
