The season opening game was pretty disappointing for the OKC Thunder and their fans, for they fell greatly short to the Portland Trail Blazers in a 106-89 defeat. OKC is currently plagued with injuries, as one of their dynamic duo members, Kevin Durant, is going to be out for up to 19 games due to a broken bone in his foot. Despite their shorthanded roster, Westbrook rose to the occasion and dropped 38 pts and also had 3 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals in an attempt to help carry his team to victory, but his performance has been slightly overshadowed by his consistently unique fashion choices.
Westbrook was filmed by camera crews exiting the team's bus and making his way into the arena prior to the game, and while he may have thought that his silver jacket was "on fleek," the vast majority of basketball fans felt otherwise. People were quick to jump on Twitter and poke fun at the star point guard for wearing what many of them felt looks like, an "aluminum foil" or "space jacket."
