T-Pain is known for his autotune influence in Hip-Hop, so when the Florida-born rapper sat down for an interview with the Huffington Post, he shared his thoughts on Kanye's use of the voice altering tool. The interviewer asked the "Up Down" rapper about his thoughts on Kanye's "808s & Heartbreaks, " and T-Pain said that while the record is great, he feels that the Chicago emcee uses autotune incorrectly.

"Kanye uses it, but he doesn't use it correctly. He makes great music with it, but the way that I use it and the way that I've shown Chris and Jamie to use it, he doesn't use it that way," he said. "He sings without it first, and then he puts it on it. ... You don't know how it's going to come out. You can't catch your mistakes before that happens. Sometimes he gets a little wobbly and things like that."

T-Pain continued his thoughts on "808s & Heartbreaks" by comparing it to his "Rappa Ternt Sanga" album. "That was pretty good because I had a lot to do with that. '808s and Heartbreak' is 'Rappa Ternt Sanga.' He told me 'Rappa Ternt Sanga' is just a bunch of love songs with a gang of bass. Which is '808s and Heartbreak.'"
