Raven-Symone's "I'm not African American" comment set off a firestorm of reactions from fans ever since the footage from her interview was released on Oprah's OWN "Where Are They Now" show. She has been met with some supportive comments from the likes of T.I. and others, but has also been on the receiving end of relentlessly harsh responses from much of the general public.

Raven has defended her comments on social media sites such as Twitter, and now spoke out on Facebook by penning an open message to everyone who has expressed an opinion on her views of herself as an "American," not an "African American."  Raven is glad that her views have sparked conversations about the topic, but she is not happy about the cruel "bullying tone" used against her. She advised everyone who has anything negative to say about her to keep their foul remarks to themselves.
