Common recently celebrated the anniversary of his sophomore LP, Resurrection.

In a special interview with Revolt, the Chicago rapper says he rarely gives thought to the old days, but is always impressed to see the youngsters embrace his 20-year-old album.

"It's funny to think about 20 years because sometimes it doesn't seem like that long," he said. "One other aspect of it is I feel grateful that I'm performing songs and people that's only 23 in the audience know the song, so that's already a blessing."

Common also talked about the his relationship with legendary producer No I.D.

"We knew each other since we were like 10-years-old," he said. "So we knew each other ten years before the album came out but then at the end of the day we're working together now. [My DJ] is Twilite Tone who was one of the producers on the album too so it feels good to have some of the core people back around."

Resurrection spawned the classics "I Used To Love H.E.R." and "Resurrection."

Common's debut album didn't chart as well as the other albums released that year like Nas' Illmatic and Notorious B.I.G.'s Ready To Die, but it is still considered a classic to many.
