Texas native David Richard Wilson is facing consecutive life sentences for infecting his 23-year-old niece with HIV, chlamydia and herpes.
According to ABC 6, the 33-year-old man was arrested and charged with super aggravated assault after it was discovered that his niece was infected with several STDs.
The incident happened last November when his niece was in the care of family members in Houston since her parents were drug abusers. During a checkup, it was revealed that the child was sexually assaulted. After investigators ran tests on the family members, Wilson's results came back positive for HIV.
The rapist previously served time in 2005 for sexually assaulting a child. Doctors told reporters that reconstructive surgery was done to the child's private parts because of the infection.
Wilson is also facing another charge of rape after a 14-year-old girl came forward and revealed she was pregnant with his child. She also tested positive for HIV, chlamydia and herpes.
Wilson is currently being held without bond in Harris County Jail.
