33-year-old Dr. Craig Spencer has officially become the first patient diagnosed with Ebola in NYC, and the fourth in the United States, after returning from helping sick Ebola patients in Guinea. Spencer was quarantined at Bellevue Hospital on Thursday, October 24th, just six days after returning from his trip.  So far, three people, including his wife, have been quarantined who have come in contact with Spencer since his return, but all remain in good health so far.

Since his return, Spencer has taken various trains, an Uber cab, and also went bowling in Brooklyn, among other things.  This confirmed case of Ebola in NYC has caused its many residents to spiral into the early stages of a full-on panic out of fear of contracting the potentially deadly sickness.  Mayor Bill de Blasio has tried to calm the nerves of the many New Yorkers paranoid about the virus spreading.

"There is no reason for New Yorkers to be alarmed," Bill stated during a press conference at Bellevue. "Being on the same subway car or living near someone with Ebola does not in itself put someone at risk.  From a public health point of view, I feel confident that we're doing everything that we should be doing, and we have the situation under control."

Despite his efforts, many people have expressed their worries and general reactions to Ebola in NYC on Twitter.  Check out the reactions above.
