It seems as though, even in this day and age, in certain places, the color of someone's skin is still held in higher or lower regard than the content of their character.

9th Wonder, famed beat maker and general Hip-Hop genius, broke down a recent run-in with police following the A3C Hip-Hop Festival in Atlanta earlier this month on his Facebook page, concluding with the statement "Grammy Award Winning, Professorial, Sample Chopping, favorite Producer," but "black first....before anything....."

The beatsmith says he was traveling with his assistant and his understudy, femcee Rapsody, when he was pulled over by officers, seemingly for no reason, near the South Carolina border and questioned.

The encounter is transcribed in detail on the social media site, including Wonder's account of seemingly stereotypical treatment.

Was 9th Wonder being racially profiled during the stop? Do officers have the right to ask certain questions when pulling over citizens? Let us know your take in the C-section.
