Amanda Bynes' recent tweets have reportedly landed her in a Pasadena psychiatric ward.
According to USA Today, the promising actress was tricked into going to the ward when she was informed by her parents she would be meeting them and their lawyers in L.A. before heading to London. After getting picked up from LAX, the actress was taken to the Pasadena hospital instead.
Doctors have placed Bynes on a 5150 psychiatric hold for 72 hours.
Amanda's mother released a statement following her claims of abuse from her father on Twitter Friday.
"I am heartbroken today for my husband of 47 years," she says. "Rick has been the best father and husband a family can ask for. He has never abused Amanda or our other children physically or sexually. These accusations are absolutely horrible and could not be further from the truth! These allegations stem from Amanda's mental state at the moment. They have no basis in reality. It saddens me beyond belief that my husband's character could be slandered in such a way."
It was also reported that Bynes' parents came up with the idea to trick the actress from Sam Lufi, who assisted Britney Spears' parents before her mental breakdown in 2008.
