In a recent interview with Italy's L'Uomo Vogue, the reigning queen of Hip-Hop, Nicki Minaj, discussed her dreams of having a family and creating a lasting legacy similar to her Hip-Hop counterparts Jay Z, Diddy and Dr. Dre.

"I don't want to work my whole life without ever experiencing the joys of a family," she admitted.  "I would like to take a hiatus and dedicate myself completely to my child."

"Seeing Beyoncé with her daughter and husband was so tender," she went on to say. "It showed me that it is possible to be an animal on stage and a caring mother at the same time. Family has always been very important to me, and that is why I want to wait until the right moment before starting my own."

Aside from her dreams of starting a family, the Harajuku Barbie expressed the desire to build long lasting companies that rival those of Hip-Hop's most celebrated moguls.

"I want to build my empire. In my field, I have always seen men do it—from Diddy to Dr. Dre to Jay Z. Now it's a woman's turn."

Nicki, who recently jumped into the liquor business with her moscato drink, Myx Fusions, has already made history as the highest charting female rapper on the Billboard Charts with a total of 44 entries. She is also set to become the first female rapper to host the MTV EMA's.

"At first, no one took me seriously," she declared.  "In the world of rap, women are usually relegated to the choir."

Nicki's new album The Pink Print is slated to hit stores Novemebr 24th.
