XXL recently caught up with A$AP Yams, who says that the A$AP crew has been quiet this year but only because he believes that 2014 has been a "stale year." He added that the group is about to gear up and release a lot of music, but feels that this year was the worst in history for rap music.

"We're not going to stop. We're not going to disappear anytime soon. You're about to hear a lot from us in the [next] couple of months. We honestly have been very quiet. It's been a stale ass year. Nothing has inspired us to drop nothing. So we went back to the drawing board with it. It's drawing board season right now."

He adds, "It's been a lot of wack sh*t. So it's like, how are we going to f**k them up right now? How are we going to shake up the world right now? If you ain't trying to shake up the world, you ain't going to shake up sh*t."

When asked to elaborate on why he thought the year was so bad, Yams said, "It wasn't any trends; musically it was a lot of dry-ass sh*t. Everybody [who] was supposed to drop, dropped the ball. This is probably the worst year of rap music ever. Let's be honest. This is the worst year of rap music ever. It's just been allegiances and people hyping sh*t up. Man, that sh*t trash."

Do you agree?
