L.A. clothing store MSTKN was gearing up for their grand opening and sent out flyers promoting Chris Brown as a special guest. Fans lined up around the block for the event; however, Chris claims he never agreed to the appearance.

The singer tweeted out to his fans, "TeamBreezy: the store on melrose MSTKN has false advertised me coming to their store. I don't f*ck with them and their clothes are horrible."

In a bid to save their name from getting dragged through the mud, MSTKN responded on Instagram by saying, "We @mstknsociety personally apologize for anybody that came to see @chrisbrownofficial ....we booked and confirmed this artist, with a contract. And sh*t went bad..... And HE decided not to show up! But for him to bash OUR BRAND?!!!! NOT COOL! don't believe his bullsh*t! Their were other people who were mediating this meet and greet. This is a horrible situation, but for you to personally bash our brand is slander! I'm at a loss for words....."

Both messages were later deleted, but MSTKN apologized to their customers and offered a refund to anyone who bought clothes just to meet Chris. They also further elaborated on the subject.

"1st off we'd like to thank everybody for coming out to our Grand Opening yesterday. It was a very special day for all of us. We did our best to make it a memorable experience for all of you. We really didn't need to get a big celebrity involved but we thought it would be the icing on the cake for all the years of hard work and all the years of support that people gave us on the come up. Unfortunately it back fired on us and we truly apologize for any inconvenience or let down. With that being said, We are offering a full refund to anybody that bought clothes just to see and meet @officialchrisbrown • #MSTKN is all about good business and good customer service. So please feel free to bring your unworn product and receipt to the store for a full refund (within 7 days of purchase date). We are to grown and respectful to slander anybody's name, I guess you can call this a miscommunication and learning experience, not a false advertisement. #WeDidEverythingThatWasAskedOfUs #ItWasntOurFault #WeTrulyApologize."
