Young Thug's reluctance to speak on the tragedy in Ferguson has caused a huge fallout with the people of St. Louis.

At the BET Hip Hop Awards red carpet, the "Stoner" rapper chatted with Bossip about his music, and special language he has with his friends.

When asked about the death of unarmed teen Michael Brown and how African Americans are profiled by the police, the rapper gave a rather frank answer.

"Leave that up with the critics and the laws and all that other s***," he said. " We having fun, we iced out, we having money. That's how we doing it." He also mentioned that rappers shouldn't speak on social issues.

Since his comments went viral, former fans have blasted him for his lack of compassion and refusal to use his platform in a positive way.

Many have taken to Twitter to enforce a block on the rapper from traveling to St. Louis in the future.

Ferguson and the unlawful deaths of young African Americans from all over the country has prompted rappers like Talib Kweli, J. Cole, Nelly and many more to speak out in support.
