Jason Derulo has released a statement following his split with Jordin Sparks.

After rumors started to fly about infidelities in their romance, Derulo says that he didn't cheat on Jordin.

"Though I think it is a private matter and intended to keep my break-up with Jordin personal, due to bogus and irresponsible lies being reported by insensitive media outlets it became necessary for me to comment," he said to ABC News.

"I spent three great years with Jordin and she is one of the most amazing people that I have ever met. But as in all relationships there are ups and downs and at this time we have decided to amicably part, "Infidelity, cheating or deceit played no part in our relationship or our break-up, and I hope that people respect our privacy as we move forward with our lives."

Other than cheating rumors, sources have stated that Jason was worried that Jordin would have a piece of his money if they got married. While Jason's career has steadily grown over the years, Jordin's career has stayed stagnant since her debut album in 2007.

Jordin hasn't said much since the breakup was announced, but did tweet about returning back to the studio.
