Iggy Azalea has responded to Rah Digga's comments over her rapping abilities on Twitter.

In an interview with ThisIs50, Digga shared her thoughts on the current state of females in rap, and says that she isn't a fan of Iggy Azalea.

"I don't consider [Iggy] Hip Hop. I listen to her album. Everything that I hear on there is everything but that... Hip Hop is representative of this: to inform and empower inner city youth. I'm fine with anybody's race, creed, or color participating, but don't ever forget what it was created for in the first place."

Iggy joined in on the conversation of female rappers on Twitter Thursday afternoon and seemed to be shocked that the comments came from a fellow female MC.

"I honestly don't really mind if I'm described as rap or pop. My passion is purely making music and entertaining," she tweeted. "Every female rapper gets accused of not writing, and thats fine i just find it disappointing to see it come from other women. Especially ones who don't know me or anyone around me, its actually sad. crabs in a bucket syndrome."

Digga also got word of Iggy's response, and says that she was simply answering the question presented to her. She mentions that the point of the discussion was sadly missed because everyone was too busy focusing on a potential feud.

"Kinda hard to have an intellectual convo about Hip Hop as a whole when the person you're talking to makes it about 1 person. Not my crusade," she tweeted. "I don't like that it's all being made to target 1 person. That is just a byproduct of what I'm talking about. Making it a "feud" to distract."
