A man was able to get into the White House by hopping a fence Friday night.

According to Mashable, 42-year-old Omar J. Gonzalez got passed the secret service after jumping a fence and entering the White House's North Portico doors. Officials say the Texas native was able to get so far because he wasn't armed.

President Obama had left the White House for a family trip to Camp David before the intrusion.

Employees and media were escorted out of the White House while Gonzalez was arrested and charged with unlawful entry.

Officials are currently looking into why Gonzalez hopped the fence and why the secret service took so long to restrain him.
