Tim Dog's death has been questioned for over a year after many believed the rapper faked his death.

Today, the investigators who initially tracked down the rapper's scams involving several women have finally solved Tim Dog's mysterious death.

It was widely reported that Tim Dog died on February 14, 2013, around the same time a story on the rapper aired on Dateline NBC. Several women claimed that the rapper scammed them out of thousands of dollars including a woman named Esther Pilgrim.

Before he presumed his death, Tim was ordered to pay her back the $15,000 he allegedly stole from her. After he died, Pilgrim says that the rapper may have faked his own death to get out of paying her back the money.

Since no death certificate was found, police issued warrants for Dog's arrest.

After searching for Dog's home address in Atlanta, Georgia, it was discovered that the rapper died in a hospice in Dekalb County. The reason behind the "disappearance" of his death certificate stems from Georgia laws. Since relatively no one knew where the rapper was living, there wasn't any paperwork written up for him in Fairburn County.

The Dekalb County GA Board of Health handed over the death certificate to Dateline stating that the rapper was cremated.

Since Dog's estate couldn't fund the cremation, it was paid for by Dekalb County.
