The NFL might be done with Ray Rice, but the player isn't giving up without a fight.

According to Fansided, the player is taking the league to court to fight his ban from the sport. Rice's lawyers claim that the league cannot issue two punishments for the the same incident.

The NFL explained to Rice that his two game suspension was from the elevator incident with Janay Palmer in February. While Rice claims he told the league the entire story, they released him from the Baltimore Ravens earlier this week when the full video was released of the player punching his then-fiancee in the face.

The league says the ban comes from Rice lying about his actions in the incident with Palmer, making it a separate offense. They're also sticking to their claims that they hadn't seen the entire video until this week.

The family of the couple is also helping Rice's lawyers to come up with strategies to help the player get his job back.

Rice's lawyers are expecting the player to be reinstated shortly after the Super Bowl next year.

Do you think Rice will be back in the NFL's good graces next year?
