As the Ray Rice domestic violence scandal continues to grow, it seems NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has some explaining to do.

The League's frontman has repeatedly stated that the second, more violent video of former Ravens running back Ray Lewis assaulting his wife in an Atlantic City elevator in February was never seen by League officials until Monday, September 9th, when it was released by TMZ.

The Associated Press is contradicting this statement, insisting that a voicemail from an NFL office to a law enforcement official proves that League officials had the video on April 9th.

The law enforcement official also said he sent an unsolicited DVD of the security footage to the office of an NFL executive with his contact info.

Is Roger Goodell lying to cover his tracks? Should the NFL Commissioner be forced to step down if proof comes forth that the NFL had access to all the footage beforehand? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
