The NYPD's infamous "Hip Hop Task Force," are tightening their grip on parties in NYC following the shooting of Suge Knight at an industry event last weekend.

The task force has a long list of artists it watches as well as monitoring industry beefs and keeping in contact with club owners and concert promoters especially when artists on their list are headlining events.

Page Six reports that artists such as Drake, Chris Brown, Fabolous, French Montana, Jeezy, Jim Jones and Lil Wayne rank high on the hip hop cops' watch list.

Are the rap police a detriment to the industry or does their monitoring help keep events safe? Let us know your thoughts in the C-section.
