In preparation for his new project "The Album About Nothing," Wale's looking for a fresh start on the business side of things and has decided to part ways with his management company of five years, Roc Nation.

Roc Nation clients are split between management and the actual label, with Melanie Fiona, Meek Mill and Skylar Diggins all being managed by the Roc, while J. Cole, Rita Ora, Jay Electronica and Rihanna are all a part of the label. Going forward, Wale will be managed by 77 North, who also have a hand in managing LeBron James.

The split is reportedly amicable and has more to do with Wale expanding his career than a particular incident where Roc Nation dropped the ball.

Do you think splitting from the Roc will help or hurt Wale's career? Sound off below.
