After Suge Knight was shot six times at Chris Brown's pre-VMA party at 1Oak in L.A., many people are now trying to piece together the details surrounding the incident, which could've been a ploy to stop his tell-all book from coming out. Page Six is reporting that music execs are buzzing about the former Death Row CEO shopping around a memoir about his storied career, and the shooting occurred to prevent the release.

The book is said to detail much talked about events in his life, including the rumor about him holding Vanilla Ice over a balcony to obtain the rights for "Ice Ice Baby." Another sensitive subject said to have been included in the book is 2Pac Shakur's fatal shooting, which many fans have mixed feelings about.

While police are investigating the shooting and trying to nab the shooter, TMZ reports that Suge is not cooperating with the authorities.
