Beyonce & her pops Mathew Knowles haven't had the closest relationship since she relieved him of his managerial duties back in 2011. His influence over her career, however, is still being felt, as he recently revealed that Jay & Bey may have been playing us all along by feeding into divorce rumors in an effort to push tickets for their recently wrapped up "On the Run" tour.
"I know, because we've done this. From experience, there's a tour going on," he said. "So you sometimes have to ignite that tour. It's called a Jedi mind trick. The Jedi mind trick fools you a lot."
Papa Knowles made these claims on the Roula & Ryan radio show on 104.1 KRBE in Houston. When asked if the Solange/Jay Z elevator fight was staged, Knowles gave a cryptic answer that didn't confirm it, but certainly didn't deny the allegation either.
"All I know is the Jedi mind trick. Everyone's talking about it. Ticket sales went up. Solange's album sales went up 200%!"
