With their collaboration, "Black Widow", climbing up the charts it seems as if Rita Ora wanted to make the single even more memorable when she performed it with collaborator Iggy Azalea at this past weekend's MTV Video Music Awards.

The Sun reports that Rita suggested that she an Iggy kiss during their performance of the hit song, in homage to Madonna, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera's show-stealing kiss at the award show 11 years before.

"I said to Iggy we should just make out on stage, kiss during our performance," Ora said. "She told me that would be crazy because it's already been done. Britney Spears and Madonna kissing was my favorite VMA performance ever."

While they didn't make out at the ceremony, they did perform without a hitch, though they almost didn't get to recite it for a national TV audience at all when Iggy Azalea fell off the stage at a pre-VMA performance.

"Bless her. I was just happy she was OK because, God forbid, we couldn't perform after all that," the British pop star said.
