DJ Mustard has quickly risen to become one of the most sought-after producers in the game, crafting hits for homies like YG and Ty Dolla $ign as well as Kid Ink, Chris Brown, T-Pain, B.o.B., Fabolous and more. Now, based on what he told MTV News at the 2014 VMAs, it looks like he may be ready to take it to the next level.
According to Mustard, Jay Z sent him a personal email requesting new tracks, reading:
"Send me some beats, you ready for the big leagues now."
Mustard proceeded to send Hov "stuff that I think he might like" and is unsure of where his tracks may end up.
Right now, Mustard is in the studio with Lil Wayne putting the final touches on "Tha Carter V."
