If you caught last night's Video Music Awards, you may have noticed that while Queens MC Nicki Minaj twerked smoothly through her performance of current smash hit "Anaconda," she had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction when she hit the stage with singers Jesse J and Arianda Grande to perform "Bang Bang," as Minaj held her dress closed for dear life during the whole song.
"You all know I had a wardrobe malfunction," the "Pink Friday" artist yelled to reporters with a shrug.
Minaj also spoke directly to Us Weekly in the VMA press room where she revealed she simply didn't have time to get zipped up:
"It felt amazing to open the show, but we ran out of time getting the dress zipped up."
Us Weekly also claimed to speak to an insider who said the dress had been giving Nicki problems all week during rehearsals.
"She could never get into that dress. During the dress rehearsal she did the number numerous times and could not make it into the dress zipped up even once. I've no idea why she didn't just decide to wear something else. She just didn't have the time to change from one outfit into another, there was no way."
