For those who weren't aware, Katy Perry and Riff Raff made sure to announce their relationship to the world in grand fashion at last night's MTV Video Music Awards. The couple arrived in a flashy Lambo, channeling the all-denim look of former couple Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears at the 2001 28th annual American Music Awards, but with a few upgrades and a lot more bling, especially from Riff Raff.
Together, they strolled down the red carpet hand-in-hand, posing for numerous pictures and also capturing a variety of Instagram selfies while sitting together during the awards show. Riff Raff was covered in large jewelry pieces from head to toe, including a shiny shark teeth grill which he flashed for the 'Gram.
Fans were buzzing on Twitter over Katy and Riff Raff's VMA appearance. Some showed praise for their outfit choice, while other criticized them for trying to "compete" with Justin and Britney's former look. Then there was a large portion of fans who were simply puzzled at their union in the first place.
