Over the years, Cassidy has become the most sought-after name in Battle Rap due to his repeated dismissals of the value and difficulty level required to succeed in the sport.  VladTV has specifically captured him saying on record that "$30k-$40k to battle ain't about nothing," and he's also admitted to turning down a six-figure payday to step in the ring as well.  After Joe Budden exchanged bars with Hollow Da Don at Total Slaughter, everyone has been waiting to see if Cassidy would take the bait and put his skills to the test against one of Battle Rap's finest, and the wait is finally over.

Even though Cassidy has previously stated that he would only agree to battle a fellow artist who has acquired mainstream industry success, he actually accepted a battle with one of the most experienced and ruthless spitters in the sport: Dizaster.  Diz has already taken out Canibus in an incredibly one-sided performance, and is more than ready to introduce Cassidy to the modern format of Battle Rap.  Many fans have been wondering what the future had to offer Dizaster following his recent brawl with Math Hoffa at KOTD's BOLA 5 event, which got him banned from the league, but it appears as though he's only gone on to bigger and better things since then.

The news was announced via Instagram late last night, August 24th, when Dizaster posted up a few pictures spreading the news.  According to Dizaster, FilmOnTV, its founder and TV Director Alki David, and Lush One were able to team up to put together a solid business plan to make this battle become a reality.  There hasn't been any word on the specific date that the battle will go down, but fans can rest assured that they will see Cassidy step back into the lyrical ring soon enough.

Ever since Dizaster made the announcement, fans have been actively expressing their excitement in seeing the battle, and debates over who will be victorious have already begun.  Who do you think will reign supreme?  Will Dizaster deliver another Canibus-worthy slaughter?  Or, will Cassidy bodybag Diz the same way that he did to Freeway?

We'll have to wait to see how it will all play out.  In the meantime, let us know your thoughts on Cassidy's return to Battle Rap against an always dangerous Dizaster.
